Refund and Cancellation Policy
Our 14-day refund policy for Pulse for Writers subscriptions, how to cancel, and how refunds are processed through Paddle.
Who handles your payment and refund
Paddle is the merchant of record for every Pulse for Writers subscription order. Paddle processes the payment, collects the applicable taxes, issues your receipt or invoice, and issues refunds. These terms apply once paid subscriptions are open.
This policy sets out the refund terms we offer. Paddle also has a refund policy for purchases made through it, and where local law or that policy gives you a more favorable right, you get the more favorable right.
Canceling a subscription
You can cancel at any time in Account settings > Subscription, where Manage subscription opens the Paddle customer portal, or through the links in your Paddle receipt emails or on paddle.net. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and does not delete your account or writing data.
Deleting your Pulse for Writers account is not a substitute for canceling a subscription. Cancel your subscription first; you can delete your account once the subscription shows as canceled or ended (a subscription canceled during a paid period ends when that period ends).
Refund window
- First purchase: you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase, whether you chose the monthly or the yearly plan.
- Renewals: you can cancel before any renewal. We do not refund a renewal automatically, but contact us within 14 days of a renewal charge and we will review your request.
- Duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges will be investigated and corrected when verified.
How to request a refund
Email support@pulseforwriters.com with the email address on your account, the date and amount of the charge, and your Paddle receipt or order number if you have it. You can also ask through the order management link in your Paddle receipt or at paddle.net. Paddle issues the refund.
Do not send passwords, complete card numbers, bank credentials, or private manuscript content. A request made within the refund window counts as made on the day we receive it, even if review finishes later; a request made through Paddle's order page is dated by Paddle's record. We will confirm approval or explain a denial.
How long refunds take
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Paddle. Timing depends on your bank or payment method; Paddle's refund and order pages show the status.
What happens to your data after a refund
Your account stays and nothing is deleted. After a refund your subscription ends, editing is locked, and you can still sign in and export all of your workspace data. You can subscribe again at any time, or delete your account in Account settings.
Exceptions and your statutory rights
Refunds may be refused where a request is fraudulent or abusive, or made outside the stated window, except where law requires a refund.
Nothing in this policy limits cooling-off, cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Where local law is more favorable, local law controls.
Charge disputes
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us or Paddle first so it can be fixed quickly. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge with your bank, card issuer, or a consumer authority. While a dispute is reviewed, access to your account may be limited.
